Digipak
This is the Digipak that was created as the CD case for our band "A-Club". The name of the album is "Without Fear". The Digipak contains two pictures of members of the band in the style of playing cards, one contents of the songs, one contents of the band members, the front cover of everyone on swings and the CD holder. We were each given specific colours as to not only add colour to the Digipak but to create a faint theme of identity and difference, yet as we are four popular light colours there is a sense of energy and unity among us.
Final Music Video
This is our finished music video. The only noticeable difference that we made to the video was removing unnecessary transitions that made the music video look tacky. We also planned to film more footage, but due to time restraints and careful consideration we decided to not film more footage as to make it simpler and not overload the video with different locations.
Editing the Music Video 1
Once our first session of filming was complete we uploaded the footage to the iMac and began to edit. While the majority of the shots in the band room were good, we decided that we needed more outdoor sequences, as well as some extra shots in the Drama room. As a group we also decided to use more locations in different areas of London, or locally, in order to make the video less repetitive and to make it longer, as the edited video footage only reaches approximately one and a half minutes.
Task 2- Editing Lip Syncing- Elton John
This music video was our groups third attempt at making a music video, and this specific video was edited by me. Our second attempt didn't make it to publishing, as there were too many flaws with it, ranging from Azimul's less than good lip synching, as well as a lack of variety in shots and continuity. I am more pleased with this video however, as we have managed to improve from the first video and the second. The lip syncing in this video was much better, as James and I had help with other people and had built enough confidence to recreate the song appropriately. However, there are still problems, such as a problem with my lip synching about half way through, yet I don't know if it was or wasn't my fault. I feel that the editing could have been better, as well as my eyer contact with the camera, but taking this into consideration I believe that I can improve for the real music video that we will produce.
Task 3- Choosing the Music for your own Music Video
After listening to quite a lot of different music channels on YouTube of Royalty-Free music websites, our group has decided to use Plain White T's "Our Time Now". Our group agreed on this song due to it being upbeat enough for us to make a creative video, and the band in question having little comparative popularity, apart from one of their song "Hey there Delilah", for us to not attract too much attention to our created music video. The music has the added bonus that there are no offensive lyrics or bad language, making it easier to lip sync to.

Plain White T's- Our Time Now
While we are happy with our song, there were other songs that we discussed before choosing that we almost made our video around, such as the same bands song "Hate", which we realised would not fit the emotions and the energy that we wished to portray in the video we create.
Possible Song- Plain White T's- Hate
Task 4- Audience Research
After we showed out intended music video to the 'target audience' of the song, they described the song as fast, upbeat and colourful. After listening to the song, the audience also described the artists as similar to others they had heard, namely Green day, Busted and Sum 41. The target group described the mood of the song as cheerful and happy, as well as stating that if the song were a colour, it would be yellow. Another thing our audience stated was that the music video reminded them of was a group of people running through the fields and the city.
They later said that they would expect our music video featuring clips of us playing instruments and other band things on top of a building. The question subjects thought the narrative of the music video should be a group of friends getting together in the city and enjoying themselves and having a fun day out. The below picture shows another group responding to our video and answering the set questions.
Through the groups' answers we now know the rough impressions that the song gives to people who haven't heard the song before, giving us a guideline to out music video.

Task 5- Contacting the Artist
This picture is proof of us attempting to gain permission to use Plain White T's song for us to create a music video around it. James was the person that originally emailed them, and so he will gain all responses from them. Without their permission we would have to choose another song due to Copyright.

First Production Meeting
This is a picture of our first Production meeting where we discusses the basic ideas of the video, the shooting schedule and location. We all decided that London would be a suitable place to film, as the setting of the music video will need an urban setting, and there is a lot of potential for filming locations. I mainly dealt with the storyboard, while Azimul and James were looking for good enough locations for our mise-en-scene, and decided on Shoreditch. After speaking to our teacher, we have concluded that our plans are all alright and can proceed as planned.
Second Production meeting
During our Second Production Meeting James, Azimul and I had discussed what we had filmed so far, and what we may be filming in the future. We decided that what we had done was decent enough to use in out video, but the next stages of filming may be difficult due to conflicting timetables and different after school activities. Our band sequence needs to be filmed, but the drama room that we will need to film in is only available at specific times, none of which we are all available in. The next production meeting will likely have a shooting schedule sorted out.

Information on the Artist
The Plain White T's first formed as a band in 1997 in Lombard, San Francisco. Originally they started with only three members, with Tom Higgenson as the lead singer and guitarist, Ken Fletcher on Bass guitar and Dave Tirio on Drums. After finding some popularity a fourth member was recruited, Steve Mast, to play lead guitar and sing backing vocals. During this time they continued to gain popularity, enough to fund themselves enough to afford a designated van for the band which Higgenson crashed later on.
In 2002 the band underwent changes in its members, as Steve Fletcher and Steve Mast left the band and were replaced by Tim Lopez and Mike Retondo. 2002 was also the year that the bands first album, 'Come on Over' released, starting their career to becoming a well known band. In 2003 Dave Tirio switched from drums to rhythmic guitar and De'Mar Hamilton, the fifth member of the band, took over at drums.
After this, 'Plain White T's' began to gain momentum, releasing multiple albums such as 'All That We Needed' in 2005. In this album was the first appearance of their most well known song, 'Hey There Delilah'. his song became massively popular, With most Radio stations playing it, the Plain White 's became known in most households, despite their history linking them to play smaller gigs and concerts in their home town.
Since then, the Plain White T's have been creating music in the band even to today in 2015, showing their popularity is still recognized today. The band has even made some appearances on Television, such as appearing on 'iCarly' and one of their songs being used as the theme tune for ABC's 'Greek'.

Location Sheet
For our music video we have chosen to shoot all our outdoor shots in London. The first location that we plan to film at is on Fournier Street. We have chosen this street because it is not busy and the buildings look good for a wide shot.As well as the outdoor scenes we have plan to shoot a band sequence. We have chosen to do this in our schools drama studio with the big film lights to make the scene look as professional as possible.
